Austarc 24
Description
THE SMOOTH OPERATOR!
Designed for high speed welding of mild steel, Austarc 24 is a high iron powder rutile type electrode that is all about efficient performance. It performs on both traditional AC power sources and DC inverter based power sources.
EASE OF USE
The Austarc 24 now features a graphite tip to improve arc starting characteristics. Coupled with a smooth steady arc, it strikes and runs smoothly for the entire length of the electrode. The result is greater ease of use and operator appeal.
HIGH DEPOSITION RATE
Austarc 24 delivers a fast, simple way of achieving high deposition welding, either in the field or the workshop. Deposition efficiencies of 140% to 160% are easily achieved due to the high iron powder content in the outer coating of the electrode. The result is higher performance efficiencies and a more economic weld.
EASY SLAG REMOVAL
The Austarc 24's slag is self-detachig, making removal much faster and clean-up more efficient, again working to enhance your productivity.
GOOD EDGE WETTING CHARACTERISTICS
The improved Austarc 24 delivers even better weld appearance, due to its exceptional edge wetting properties.
Applications
A general purpose electrode, suited to single and multiple-pass applications, the austarc 24 is the ideal choice for all general fabrication and project work, where large butt and fillet welds are required.
