Description

The combination of high mechanical properties and ease of use makes the Austarc 77 a very versatile electrode which is suited to a large range of applications and industries.

HIGH QUALITY WELDS
Austarc 77 has been designed to deliver consistent, high quality welds on a continuous basis to maintain welding performance and weld appearance.  X-Ray quality welds with high impacts to sub zero temperatures of -50ºC are very achievable.

OPERATOR APPEAL
The Austarc 77 offers excellent deposition efficiency and produces minimal spatter.  The result is an exceptional weld appearance, with minimal clean-up required.

The Austarc 77 can be run on either AC or DC power sources.  When used in combination with the latest DC inverter power sources, the result is an easy to strike and re-strike, smooth running electrode.

SUPERIOR EDGE WETTING
Due to the superior edge wetting characteristics of the Austarc 77, the ease of slag removal from butt joints is greatly increased, almost eliminating the need for interun grinding.  Greater productivity and less manual labour is the result.

Smooth edge wetting also significantly reduces the chance of undercut, both in fill runs and most importantly, on final capping runs.

IDEALLY SUITED TO VERTICAL-UP WELDING
The extremely smooth, fluid slag and very stable arc make the Austarc 77 a great choice for vertical-up welding.
