Filler Metals

Fluxofil 31 H5

Description

THE FLUXOFIL ADVANTAGE

  • SEAMLESS COPPER COATED TUBULAR CONSTRUCTION
  • VERY LOW HYDROGEN H5 CLASS
  • SUITABLE FOR CRITICAL WELDING APPLICATIONS

Seamless construction ensures the integrity of the wire and flux, preventing moisture penetration which in turn ensures the low hydrogen H5 classification is maitained and improves feeding of the wire through the drive rolls, liners and contact tips.  Hydrogen is dissipated from the filled tube during high temperature annealing.  The copper coating provides superior electrical conductivity, contact, feedability & shelf life.

Applications

Highly basic, seamless flux cored wire for use with either CO2 or Argon/18-25% CO2 shielding gas mixtures to produce high quality, notch tough weld deposits in all down hand positions. For welding of carbon, C-Mn and micro alloyed steels used in construction of high integrity structures, such as ships, pressure vessels, offshore platforms and storage tanks, for exceptional toughness and all weld metal. Excellent impact properties are achieved to -40ºC.

Industries

Agriculture, metal fabrication, mining, mineral processing, forestry, defence, oil and gas, shipbuilding, petrochemical.
