BRH Steel Constructions, a long-standing family owned and operated metal fabrication company, has won a Holden SS Ute valued at approximately $45,000 as part of WIA’s (Welding Industry of Australia) recent national competition to support the relaunch of its Weldmatic brand in the Australian market.
An excited Adam Henson, general manager at BRH Steel Constructions, and son of the company’s founder Barry, said the WIA competition is one of the first competitions he had ever entered.
“I have never won anything in the past – this is the first, and the timing was perfect.
“We had been looking at upgrading our company cars, so we would have been buying a new Ute shortly anyway. It has worked out brilliantly. Thank you WIA,” Mr Henson said.
He explained that WIA welding machines are the company’s first choice when it comes to MIG welders.
“We have been using WIA welding machines for a number of years now and choose them because of their reliability. We never have any problems with them.
“Their reliability and the ability to perform in all conditions are key to our business’s success. Plus our welders prefer the WIA machines; the fittings and the guns are all easy to handle and to use,” Mr Henson said.
Over many decades, WIA has built a reputation for consistently delivering high quality, high performing welding products that are designed to last.
In fact BRH Steel still have a WIA stick welder that was given to Adam’s dad back in 1964, by his previous employer.
“And it’s still in the workshop and is still going strong,” Mr Henson said.
He explained that his dad started welding as a boilermaker at just 15 years old, back in the early 1960s.
“And he is still welding on a daily basis today at 64 years of age,” Mr Henson said.
Based in Riverstone, in Sydney’s western suburbs, the company relies on WIA machines for all its heavy-duty work.
“The WIA machines can take all the hard work. We specialise in all types of architectural metal work and structural steel work, so we need welding machines that can take the load.
“We have been servicing the Sydney metropolitan and lower Blue Mountains areas since 1976, and have built up a solid reputation for high quality work.
“The quality of the weld is very important to all our customers, and we can rely on the WIA machines to produce a superior arc for continuous, high quality welds,” he said.
Mr Henson entered the competition by purchasing a Weldmatic Fabricator heavy-duty three-phase MIG welding machine from Weld & Safety Supplies of Riverstone.
The Fabricator has been engineered to handle the toughest fabrication and industrial applications, from rail manufacturing, ship construction and mining maintenance. It has been setting the standard for weld performance in the welding industry for many decades.
Other prizes in the Weldmatic competition included $5000 in cash, a $1500 fuel voucher and weekly prize draws of a WIA Blue Auto-Darkening Helmet, valued at $154.
