Austarc 18TC

With a proven history of almost 50 years in the Australian market, WIA has built a reputation for delivering high quality filler metal products for the industrial user.  Austarc electrodes are renowned for their smooth running characteristics and ease of use, making them the preferred choice of operators in workshops across Australia.  After much research and development, the most significant addition to our electrode range in many years has arrived – the Austarc 18TC. 

The Austarc 18TC is an E7018-1 type low hydrogen arc welding electrode, designed specifically for oil and gas, offshore and pipe welding applications.  It also suits applications relating to structural steel construction, pressure vessels, heavy girders, mining equipment and plant repair and maintenance.

Manufactured using a unique twin coating extrusion process, the Austarc 18TC is designed for AC and DC power sources.  It is designed primarily for use on C-Mn and low alloy structural steels.  It offers superb arc transfer, excellent re-strike, reduced spatter level and extraordinary ease of use for out-of-position welding.
