WIA is pleased to announce a new edition to our engine driven range, the all new Miller Big Blue 500X Pro! 
Packed with power and designed to last, this machine has three phase generator power and has been built specifically for Australia and Australian conditions.

The Big Blue 500X has so many features that make it a stand out. The 500X comes fitted with vandal proof doors and a lock, preventing onsite vandal damage and has a huge 94 litre fuel capacity, much larger than most machines. Also exclusive to the 500X pro is the polarity change switch, a convenient function which allows operators to change weld polarity quickly and easily without the need to undo weld cables.

The 500X also features Lift-Arc TIG which provides TIG arc starting without the use of high frequency, and Auto Crater and Auto Stop, which eliminates tungsten and workpiece contamination.

Like the 800X, the Big Blue 500X Pro comes built with VRD (Low OCV), which reduces the open circuit voltage to 15 Volts when the welding power source is not in use, and increases operator safety without compromising arc starts. It’s also site compliant to ASC1672.2 Category C environment.

A big plus for the Big Blue 500X Pro is it has so many features which make welding a whole lot better, including the infinite arc control which allows arc characteristics to be changed for specific Stick, TIG,  MIG and Flux-Cored applications, and the Auto Remote Sense (ARS), which detects if a remote control is plugged into the 14-pin receptacle, eliminating any confusion of a remote/panel switch. In addition the Big Blue 500X Pro’s thermal overload protection prevents the machine from damaging if the duty cycle is exceeded or if airflow is blocked.

Suitable for Stick, MIG, Flux-Cored, DC TIG and Air Carbon Arc processes, this welder is ideal for heavy construction, structural steel, mining maintenance and process piping applications.
