“Recently I installed 150 meters of stainless steel handrail on a coastal boardwalk where TIG welding was required to join posts and rails, a job that I had done many times in my 30 years of experience. Welding outdoors and exposed to sunlight, I noticed my helmet would flicker between dark and light shades which caused loss of productivity, poor weld quality along with headaches and frustration.
